Founded by Karl Thompson, this independent firm cleans and unblocks drains for commercial and domestic premises throughout North Oxfordshire, South Warwickshire and South Northamptonshire.

The business employs a team of 5, all trained to the highest standards and vehicles are fully kitted out with the latest high pressure jetting equipment and state-of-the-art CCTV systems for locating any serious problems. Services range from a standard blockage clearance to a full re-lining project.

Bourton Drain Services number most of the larger companies in Banbury as long standing clients in addition to all of the surrounding local authorities. For the last 15 years, the company has successfully carried out all the drainage work at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Due to the nature of the business, the company offers a 24 hours service, seven days a week. Karl commented " when you ring you will be answered by a real live person as opposed to an answer phone or numerous options!"

Over the years, Karl has seen the advances in technology even for such a basic business. He said "when I first started out, I literally used a rod and brute force. Now we have miniature cameras with self leveling heads for perfect pictures to help identify problems, no matter how deep."

He continued "0f course, I have heard every joke going about this type of work, but almost everyone needs this type of service at some point or other and believe me, it's hard to laugh when your drains are overflowing."
